01

Prices and booking

NEWHow much will a flight to a place of my choice cost?

It depends on the distance. In the flight price calculator choose one or more places in Lithuania and it will show the route on the map, the flight time there and back, an approximate price by airplane and helicopter, and whether you can fly there.

Calculate the flight price
How much does a flight cost?
FlightPrice
Airplane, sightseeing, 30 minBristel UL HD, 1 passenger150 €
Airplane, leisure flight, 1 hBristel UL HD, 1 passenger250 €
Helicopter, 30 minSchweizer 300C, up to 2 passengersfrom 400 €
Helicopter, 60 minSchweizer 300C, up to 2 passengersfrom 600 €

The price is for the whole flight, not per passenger. More about the routes on the page Flights.

How do I book a flight?

The easiest way is to call and agree on the date and time right away:

You can also write to heli@heli.lt or fill in the enquiry form on the page Contacts, and we will get back to you.

Why is the helicopter price shown as “from”?

The final price of a helicopter flight depends on the route and duration. If you want the helicopter to come to a place of your choice, the price is based on the duration of the whole trip. We will tell you the exact amount when arranging the flight.

On which days can I fly by helicopter?

Helicopter flights of up to 60 minutes can be booked on Saturdays only. For a longer flight or another day, call +370 612 40921.

How do I pay for the flight?

We will agree on the payment method when you book the flight by phone.

02

The flight

How many people can fly together?

By airplane one passenger flies with the pilot. By helicopter – two passengers and the pilot. If there are three of you, two can fly together in the helicopter and one at a time in the airplane.

What is the difference between an airplane and a helicopter flight?
AirplaneHelicopter
AircraftBristel UL HD, LY-MSMSchweizer 300C, LY-HDW
Passengers1 + pilot2 + pilot
Speed~180 km/h~130 km/h
30 min flight150 €from 400 €
Special featureYou can take the controls yourselfCan fly to a place of your choice

The airplane is faster, so it covers more distance in the same time. The helicopter is slower, but it offers a great view of the surroundings and two people can fly together.

Where will we fly?

We offer two routes, both starting and ending at Molėtai aerodrome:

  • 30 min – Molėtai lakes loop: Obuolių Island, Molėtai, the observatory, Lake Bebrusai, Dubingiai (~69 km by airplane);
  • 1 h – Kernavė and Trakai Castle: Kernavė, Trakai, Vievis, Elektrėnai, Musninkai, Širvintos (~150 km by airplane).

These are only suggestions: we can fly wherever you wish. Durations are for the airplane; the same route takes longer by helicopter. You will find the maps on the page Flights.

Can I fly the aircraft myself?

Yes, in the airplane you can take the controls yourself, while the pilot stays beside you and supervises the flight the whole time. For a more serious try, choose an introductory lesson (30 min, 150 €) or a flying lesson (1 h, 220 €).

Can the helicopter come to us?

Yes, we can fly the helicopter to a place of your choice, for example a celebration or a country house. The price is based on the duration of the whole trip. We will discuss the place and landing options by phone +370 612 40921.

Is the flight safe?

Every flight is flown by an experienced pilot, and both aircraft are registered in Lithuania (LY-MSM and LY-HDW). Molėtai aerodrome has been operating since 2002. Before the flight the pilot will explain how to behave in the airplane or helicopter and answer your questions.

Can I take photos and videos?

Yes, you can bring your phone or camera. Hold it firmly so it does not fall out, and ask the pilot where to keep it during take-off and landing.

03

Weather and conditions

What happens if the weather is not suitable for flying?

Flights depend on the weather. In strong wind, rain, fog or low cloud we will move your flight to another day that suits you. The pilot may also adjust the route to the weather. You can see the current weather at the aerodrome on the page Information for pilots.

Can children fly?

Please discuss children’s flights, age limits and the required adult consent with the pilot when booking.

Are there weight limits?

Light aircraft have a limited payload, so please tell us the passengers’ weight when booking. The pilot will advise whether the flight is possible and in which aircraft.

What is the best time of year to fly?

We fly all year round when the weather allows. The most beautiful views over the lakes are in summer and in autumn, when the forests change colour.

04
